Short answer

Reducing glare does not have to darken the whole room. Start with the sun and screen.

How can blinds reduce screen glare?

First note whether sunlight falls on the screen, reflects from the desk or sits behind the monitor. Record when it happens and photograph the window and screen from your usual seat.

Adjustable slats: Venetians and verticals can change angle while covering the window. Fabric: a roller offers one surface, but weave, colour and glazing affect the result. “Light filtering” is not a fixed performance rating.

Day & Night bands are another option, but no blind guarantees a glare-free screen. Tell Gemini if you also need privacy after dark; a daytime view-through fabric may not protect a lit room at night.

For a workplace, note who uses the controls and any project requirements. Compare Venetian and roller formats, or start a commercial discussion.
